Radio Advocacy on Climate Change and Women with Disabilities To amplify awareness and reach a wider audience, Neil Life Foundation for Persons with Disabilities took our climate advocacy to the airwaves through a radio advocacy session focused on climate change and its impact on women with disabilities.

Climate change is no longer a distant threat—it is already affecting our communities, livelihoods, health, and daily lives. But while climate change affects everyone, women with disabilities often face greater challenges in preparing for and responding to its effects.

Recognizing the importance of taking this conversation beyond workshops and stakeholder meetings, Neil Life Foundation for Persons with Disabilities took the message to the airwaves through a radio advocacy programme focused on climate change and women with disabilities.

During the programme, we used the platform to shed light on the experiences of women with disabilities and the barriers they face during climate-related emergencies. We discussed the need for accessible early-warning information, inclusive evacuation plans, accessible emergency shelters, and greater participation of women with disabilities in climate-related decision-making.
